Bat Boy is a musical comedy/horror show based on a story that appeared in The Weekly World News. A half boy/half bat creature is discovered in a cave in West Virginia. Unsure of what to do, the sheriff of Hope Falls brings Bat Boy to the home of the town veterinarian, Dr. Parker. The veterinarian’s wife, Meredith, and their daughter, Shelley, teach Bat Boy how to act like a “normal” boy and accept him as a member of the family.
Bat Boy is happy with his new life, but he doesn’t fit in. Soon the ignorant residents of Hope Falls turn on him. Dr. Parker secretly hates Bat Boy, and Shelley and Bat Boy run away together. They fall in love, but their happiness is shattered when they learn a terrible secret. Who is Bat Boy? Where did he really come from?
