ABOUT
Amélie, the musical adaptation of the beloved 2001 French film, tells the whimsical story of a shy and imaginative young woman living in the Montmartre district of Paris. After a lonely childhood and a quiet life working as a café waitress, Amélie finds joy in secretly improving the lives of those around her. From reuniting a man with his childhood treasures to orchestrating acts of kindness for her coworkers and neighbors, she creates a world of quiet magic, all while avoiding direct connection or recognition.
However, Amélie’s carefully curated world is challenged when she encounters Nino, a quirky and mysterious man with a passion for collecting discarded photo booth pictures. Their shared sense of wonder and curiosity draws them together, but Amélie must confront her fear of vulnerability to take a chance on love. With a charming score and a whimsical visual style, the musical celebrates the beauty of small gestures, the courage it takes to connect, and the joy of seeing the world through a lens of kindness and imagination.
