Below is a list of frequently asked questions. Refer to this list before reaching out: Contact Us.

How do I get in contact with ROCS?

Here is our contact page that includes our email and phone number: Contact Us.

  • Press 1– For general questions and show access, leave us a voicemail, and we will get back to you during regular business hours. Likewise, you can also email us at licensing@rightoncueservices.com, and you will be assisted promptly.
  • Press 2– For technical support, leave us a voicemail, and we will get back to you during regular business hours. Likewise, you can also email us at cs@rightoncueservices.com, and you will be assisted promptly.
  • Press 3(urgent calls only) If you need to extend your show access for a few days, or you have run out of authorizations (access for your users) and your show, you will be forwarded to an after-hours contact who can help you.

My performance dates have changed. How do I extend my access?

If you have a show from Concord Theatricals, Broadway Licensing, or Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW), please reach out to them as soon as possible to notify them of the changes. Once that’s done, they will loop in ROCS to update the dates. We cannot make any adjustments to access without direct approval from the licensing company.

If it is a legacy or other show, email licensing@rightoncueservices.com.

How do I get early access?

If you have already signed your contract and have questions about getting early access, email us at licensing@rightoncueservices.com to inquire.

We have a competition and would like to perform a ROCS show. How do I get an extension?

Please get in touch with the licensing company that owns the rights to the show title for all competition extension requests. If approved, they will contact us with the competition details for an extension.

To get approval, you would have needed to have a license and have used ROCS products previously to be eligible. Additionally, we do not provide musical mashups or medleys for any reason.

When will I get access to Show|Ready or Stage|Tracks?

We are usually able to process orders within 1-2 business days. You should receive confirmation from the licensing company when they send us your order (this is different from when they process your payment).

When we process your order, we will email you a PandaDocs agreement that you can digitally sign. The email may be directed to your junk mail folder, so please check there.

If more than two business days have passed since you received an email from the licensing company, and you cannot find the PandaDoc in your inbox or spam folder, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us by phone or email (listed above), and we will be happy to assist you.

Why are my codes not working?

Please ensure you enter the code into the correct product.

  • -This software application is used for rehearsal.
  • -Your production staff and cast members will have access.
  • -Available on computers and mobile devices.
  • -It has a blue icon.
  • -This software application is used for performances.
  • -Only your production staff will have access.
  • -Available only on computers.
  • -It has an orange icon.

Other common causes are:

  • -Make sure you enter the codes into the correct devices. There is a separate code for the computer and mobile app.
  • -If you misspell the access code, it won’t work. Even when copying and pasting, spaces can sometimes be added to the end of the code by mistake. There should be no spaces in the code at all.
  • -A network firewall might be blocking the download. Check out this page for solutions: Network Error When Activating.

Do you have Android and iOS apps?

Show|Ready (rehearsal tool)

  • Yes, both iOS and Android are available on your app store. Search for “Right on Cue Show Ready.”

Stage|Tracks (performance tool)

Do you support Chromebooks?

While we don’t actively support ROCS software on Chromebooks, the Show|Ready and ROCS|Player Android apps can be found in the app store and may work on your Chromebook.

What do I do if I get a server error?

That error is normally a sign of a network firewall or a closed port blocking the download. Check out this page for solutions: Network Error When Activating.

Can I get access to a single song from a show?

We cannot legally provide individual songs. We only provide the whole show when the licensing rights are purchased from the licensing company.

Can I remove a single instrument from Stage|Tracks?

No, you cannot remove or mute an instrument in Stage|Tracks. All the music is compiled into a single track.

Can I turn off the click track (metronome) in Show|Ready?

Although you can adjust the volume of the click track, it cannot be muted due to licensing restrictions. The click track ensures that Show|Ready is used only for rehearsal. Hence, the click track must remain enabled. However, you will find that the click track isn’t in our performance tool, Stage|Tracks.

Why doesn’t the click track (metronome) play in Stage|Tracks?

Be aware that while click is not available in Stage|Tracks, it does provide advanced functionality to make edits in more precise locations in the timeline. Additionally, any edits you make to the click track in Stage|Tracks will also affect the click track in Show|Ready.

Where do I get a cue sheet?

Generally, ROCS does not provide cue sheets. You will need to make it yourself. The only two shows we provide a cue sheets for are Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: School Edition and Clue.

My show is missing a song. Where did it go?

When looking at your Song List, you might see the song name listed with a red x next to it. If you click the x, it should change to a green checkmark. This will allow you to play the song.

However, what if the song you are looking for isn’t listed in the Song List?

For some shows, you will need to reference your errata, which includes a list of any amendments made to the show. For example, Heathers: Teen Edition doesn’t have the song “You’re Welcome Reprise (Chainsaw).”

Other shows have been updated, and some of the songs have been removed. For example, Sound of Music no longer has the song “I Have Confidence.”

Show|Ready had music that isn’t in Stage|Tracks. Where did it go?

Because Show|Ready is built for rehearsal purposes, we include the music for acapella. However, in Stage|Tracks, this section of music is removed since it’s intended to be sung without accompaniment in the performance.

Why do we only get 5 seats for Stage|Tracks when we had 100 for Show|Ready?

Show|Ready and Stage|Tracks serve distinct purposes but are designed to complement each other seamlessly. Show|Ready is tailored for rehearsals, utilizing virtual instruments to help cast members practice by isolating and focusing on their individual parts. Therefore, we provide 100 seats so your entire cast can use the tool to rehearse.

Stage|Tracks, accessible 30 days before opening night, is specifically for performances, featuring a full orchestration played by professional musicians. Stage|Tracks access is restricted per our agreements with licensing companies, ensuring the protection of professionally recorded orchestrations. Therefore, we provide 5 seats for your production team.

Why aren’t my edits appearing on ROCS|Player?

If you want your edits to be instantly updated, use the desktop version of Stage|Tracks on your computer to access the full feature set. When you make edits in either Show|Ready (rehearsal tool) or Stage|Tracks (performance tool), when you hit “Send Changes,” these edits will appear automatically. This is the recommended route, and there is no additional cost.

However, when it comes to edits in ROCS|Player, the edits are not applied instantaneously. To get your edits uploaded into ROCS|Player, our team needs to manually make the edits and upload them into the mobile app for you. Because this takes us additional time and effort, we charge the following for this service:

  • First submission of edits- free
  • Additional submissions – $75/ hour

When all your edits are ready for submission, please email us at licensing@rightoncueservices.com to notify us. When submitting edits to ROCS to be uploaded into ROCS|Player, please note that this process typically takes 2–5 business days.

Why doesn’t the ROCS|Player work like the Stage|Tracks desktop app?

The simple answer is that these two apps are entirely different and don’t share the same features, which has confused over the years. To clarify this distinction, we are rebranding the Stage|Tracks Mobile app as ROCS|Player. We will also limit access to this app, as it doesn’t provide the best user experience.

Why do different instruments / vocal parts play together in Show|Ready?

If you notice that some parts play together on the same line, you are likely using a Windows computer or an Android mobile device. The operating systems traditionally have limited MIDI ports (up to 16). MIDI is what we use to create the virtual instrumentation in Show|Ready. This means that for any show with more than 16 parts, any additional instrumental or vocal parts will share the 16th channel.

When I play the music, the first few notes are sometimes missing. Why is this happening?

The most likely cause of this issue is the use of a Bluetooth speaker. Because it’s being transmitted over a wireless connection, there can sometimes be a delay at the beginning of a song. We recommend always using a wired speaker to solve this problem.

Does ROCS provide perusals?

No, we do not provide persuals for our tracks. However, you can always check out our music demos in our show catalog.

Does ROCS have guide vocals?

We do not have traditional guide vocals, meaning there aren’t singing voices within the tracks. However, the mixer within Show|Ready represents guide vocals as MIDI instruments, allowing cast members to practice their individual parts. This feature is not available in Stage|Tracks.

Does ROCS provide MP3 or WAV audio files for download?

No, we cannot provide any audio file assets. All music and sound effect files are required by license to be encrypted and stay within the ROCS software. This is to ensure the protection of the intellectual property.

Do you need to have both Show|Ready and Stage|Tracks?

This is dependent on the licensing company, but we do have instances where clients order one and not the other.

Is it possible to remove a seat on Show|Ready or Stage|Tracks if a device is no longer required for our production?

No, once a seat has been used in our program, it cannot be transferred to another device. Our program does not track IP addresses, so it is not possible to remove a license from one device and use it on another. The only option is to request an increase in the seat limit, which ROCS can provide as a one-time exception. If you have reached your seat limit, please email us at licensing@rightoncueservices.com to request additional seats.

How can I switch editor access from one user to another in Stage Tracks?

Unfortunately, there is no way to remove a seat from a device and transfer it to another user in Stage|Tracks. The program only tracks the frequency of code input into the system and does not maintain device details. The only option is to request an increase in the seat limit, which ROCS can provide as a one-time exception. If you have reached your seat limit, please email us at licensing@rightoncueservices.com to request additional seats.

Does it cost additional money to add more users to Show|Ready?

No, there is no cost to add more users for Show|Ready. We will provide you with the number of seats needed to cover your cast.

Can you reassign a seat in Show|Ready or Stage|Tracks to someone else?

No, once a seat has been used in our program, it cannot be transferred to another device. Our program does not track IP addresses, so it is not possible to remove a license from one device and use it on another. The only option is to request an increase in the seat limit, which ROCS can provide as a one-time exception. If you have reached your seat limit, please email us at licensing@rightoncueservices.com to request additional seats.
