Two World War II army soldiers return home from war and pursue a career in music. They make it big in nightclubs, radio, and Broadway, eventually becoming producers. The two fall in love with a pair of performing sisters and accompany them to a struggling lodge in Vermont for their Christmas show. To their surprise, the Columbia Inn is run by their former commanding officer. To bring business to the failing lodge, they bring the entire cast and crew of their new musical to stay. Trouble arises as they try to organize a surprise reunion for their beloved commanding officer on Christmas Eve.
The book is by David Ives and Paul Blake. The music and lyrics are by Irving Berlin. The show received two Tony Award nominations in 2009 and features classic Christmas songs like “White Christmas” and “How Deep Is The Ocean.”
