Sync Universal Clock

If you are getting a network error with Stage|Tracks, this might be due to your device clock not being synced or set correctly. If that is the case, when you try to access the ROCS server, if the time on your computer doesn’t match, it sends an error message to Stage|Tracks because it has essentially timed out.  To resolve this, you will need to sync your system clock with the universal time clock.

To sync your clock to the universal clock, do the following:

Windows (10/11)

  • Right-click the time in the bottom-right corner of your taskbar.
  • Select “Adjust date/time.”
  • Make sure “Set time automatically” is turned on.
  • Scroll down and click “Sync now” (under Additional settings or Synchronize your clock).

MacOS (Ventura, Sonoma, or newer)

  • Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner.
  • Select “System Settings.”
  • Select “General.”
  • Select “Date & Time.”
  • Turn on “Set time and date automatically.”
  • If prompted, unlock settings by clicking the lock icon and entering your password.
  • Ensure the server is set to time.apple.com.
  • The clock will sync automatically; close the settings.
