What would you do if you had all the time in the world?
Eleven-year-old Winnie Foster asks that question when her boring life takes an unexpected turn. When wandering through the woods on her family property, she stumbles across a boy drinking from a spring. He says his name is Jesse Tuck. He warns her not to drink the water or she’ll live forever. Initially skeptical, soon she becomes entangled in the Tuck family’s tangled web of magic and mystery. The family is fighting to protect their secret from The Man in the Yellow Suit. He’ll stop at nothing to profit from the magic water. Winnie is ultimately confronted with a difficult choice: return to her ordinary life, or continue with the Tucks on their infinite journey.
This musical is based on best-selling children’s classic by Natalie Babbitt. It was adapted for the stage by Claudia Shear and Tim Federle. Tuck Everlasting also features a soaring score from Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen. The TYA edition is 70 minutes long and written for 9 actors.
