The plot follows young lovers Sam and Molly, who are attacked as they are returning to their apartment. When Sam dies, he becomes caught between the real world and the next. Sam refuses to leave Molly as long as she is in danger. Desperate to communicate with her, he turns to a storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown. She helps Sam get in touch with Molly to warn her, save her life, and avenge Sam’s death.
