Monty Python’s Spamalot is a Tony Award-winning Broadway musical lovingly ripped off from the classic film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It follows King Arthur and his ragtag band of Knights of the Round Table as they embark on an absurd quest to find the Holy Grail. Along the way, they encounter a host of ridiculous obstacles, including taunting French soldiers, a killer rabbit, a singing and dancing Lady of the Lake, and a host of other bizarre characters. With iconic songs like “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life,” “The Song That Goes Like This,” and “You Won’t Succeed on Broadway,” the musical gleefully parodies both the Arthurian legend and traditional Broadway tropes.
