ABOUT
Tuck Everlasting is a musical based on the novel by Natalie Babbitt. It tells the story of eleven-year-old Winnie Foster, a curious and adventurous girl who feels trapped by the rules of her proper upbringing in 19th-century Treegap. When she runs away into the woods, she encounters Jesse Tuck and his family, who have mysteriously stopped aging after drinking from a magical spring. As Winnie becomes close to the Tucks, she learns their secret and is faced with a profound choice: to live forever or to live a full, natural life.
The musical explores themes of immortality, the passage of time, and the beauty of ordinary life. When a sinister man in a yellow suit tries to exploit the Tucks’ secret for his own gain, Winnie must decide where her loyalties lie. Ultimately, she chooses the fleeting but meaningful path of mortality, realizing that life’s value lies in its impermanence. With a heartfelt score and imaginative staging, Tuck Everlasting invites audiences to reflect on what it truly means to live.
